1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Sneakergang NYC LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Sneakergang NYC," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit sneakergangusa.com (the "Site"), interact with us on social platforms such as Instagram, or place an order with us.

We are committed to handling your personal information transparently and only collecting what we need to operate the business honestly.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Order information: name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, email address, items ordered, sizes, and order notes.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe (or another PCI-compliant payment processor); we do not store full card numbers on our servers. We retain only the last four digits, card brand, and expiration month/year for receipt and customer-service purposes.
• Account information: if you create an account, your email and a hashed password.
• Customer-service correspondence: emails, chat messages, DMs, and any other communications you send us, including any photographs or attachments.
• Marketing opt-in: email or SMS contact info you supply when you ask to be notified of drops, restocks, or promotions.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, language, referring URL, pages viewed, time spent, and click events. Used to operate the Site and prevent abuse.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies, preference cookies, security cookies, and analytics cookies. See Section 5.

2.3 Information from third parties

• Payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay) share fraud-prevention signals and the final authorization status with us.
• Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS) share scanning and tracking events.
• Social platforms (Instagram, TikTok) share publicly available profile information when you interact with us through their platforms.
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) provide aggregated traffic and conversion data.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Fulfill orders: process payments, verify identity for fraud prevention, prepare the Proof Pack, ship items, provide tracking, and handle returns and refunds.
• Provide customer service: respond to questions, resolve disputes, and communicate about your account or orders.
• Operate the Site: personalize content, remember preferences, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
• Marketing (with consent): send drop notifications, restock alerts, or promotional emails to addresses that have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any marketing email.
• Legal and safety: comply with applicable law, respond to legal process, enforce our Terms, protect against fraud, and protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our business, and the public.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We share personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Wix (e-commerce backend), Stripe (payments), USPS and UPS (shipping), email and SMS marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Postscript), customer-service platforms, and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel). Each provider is contractually limited to using your information only to deliver the service we requested.
• Legal requests: in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, property, or safety.
• Business transfers: if Sneakergang NYC LLC is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the new owner adhering to a privacy policy at least as protective as this one.
• With your consent: any other sharing requires your explicit consent.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use the following categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary: required for cart, checkout, and login functionality. Cannot be disabled without breaking the Site.
• Preference: remember language, currency, and similar choices.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4). See Section 5.1.
• Marketing: Meta Pixel for retargeting on Instagram and Facebook. See Section 5.2.

5.1 Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") to understand which pages and products are viewed and how customers move through the Site. GA4 sends Google the events page_view, view_item, add_to_cart,remove_from_cart, view_cart, begin_checkout, and (after a purchase clears) purchase, along with the product IDs, names, prices, quantities, and order total. GA4 does not log full IP addresses; Google uses the IP only momentarily to derive approximate geography and then discards it. We have not enabled Google Signals, ad personalization, or the Google Ads link on this property. You may opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by blocking third-party scripts in your browser, or by using a browser that blocks analytics by default.

5.2 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure ad performance and retarget visitors with ads on Meta-owned platforms. The Pixel sends Meta the standard events PageView, ViewContent,AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, andPurchase, along with the product IDs, names, prices, quantities, and order total. We do not send Meta any email address, phone number, or other directly-identifying customer data ("Advanced Matching" is disabled). You may opt out via your Meta ad preferences, by blocking connect.facebook.net in your browser, or by using a browser that blocks tracking pixels by default.

You may also configure your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are set. Doing so may prevent parts of the Site from functioning properly.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

• Order records (name, shipping address, items, totals) are retained for 7 years to comply with U.S. federal and New York State tax and accounting requirements.
• Payment-related records (last 4 of card, transaction ID) are retained for 7 years for chargeback and accounting purposes.
• Marketing contact lists are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Customer-service correspondence is retained for 3 years.
• Analytics data is retained per the third-party provider's default (Google Analytics: 26 months).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal-retention exceptions (e.g., we must keep order records for 7 years even if you ask us to delete your account).
• Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any marketing email.
• Portability: request a machine-readable copy of personal information you have provided to us.
• Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@sneakergangnyc.com with the subject "Privacy request" and a description of your request. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

7.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights described above plus the right to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. Should this change, we will update this Policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing your personal information are: (a) performance of a contractfor order fulfillment; (b) legitimate interest for site security, fraud prevention, and improving our services; (c) consent for marketing communications and non-essential cookies; and (d) legal obligation for tax and accounting record-keeping.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. We currently do not ship to the EEA, UK, or Switzerland from this Site; international orders are handled outside the storefront on a case-by-case basis.

8. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please email privacy@sneakergangnyc.com and we will delete the information promptly.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant processors. The Site is served over HTTPS. Account passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, however. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International data transfers

We process personal information in the United States. By using the Site or providing personal information to us, you understand and consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction.

11. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (including StockX, GOAT, Instagram, and others). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing them with personal information.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 30 days. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
